New Year doesn't mean New Life

Happy New Year Friends

As we know it, the calendar is meant for references and marking time.
The quality of your life is dependent on what you daily invest into it.

It's a new year, a marked time for the beginning of a new season.
A beginning of a defined period of 365 days.
The timer has just being reset.

That's all there is. Nothing really has changed.
Same you of new year eve, will still be you when it's new year.
If you were broke, you still will be broke
If you were wealthy, you still will be
If you were sick, or foolish, or in school, or jobless, or successful.
There will be no change because you are in a new year.

Every positive change you want to see must be deliberately made by you. Yes, its not magic.

Its a new year friends, grow everyday, no matter how small. (My people perish because of lack of knowledge).

You want your business to grow, get to know your business trends beta.
Be a beta staff
Be a beta boss
Be a beta student.
Grow spiritually... Get to know God and all the truths he said concerning you.

You growth is up to you, not the new year

The Spirit of Christmas (Giving)

Luke 2:10-11

"10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord".(KJV)

The Spirit of Christmas is giving. Yes! I just said it plainly because there’s no other way to say it.

We need to be awaken to times and seasons, know the spirit of every seasons and times, flow with the tides of the season as to benefit and utilize it properly.

When you sow a seed in its right season, it will flourish and produce more yield.

When you do the right thing at the right time, you will get effective and efficient results

God gave his best this season, He gave himself, the height of the expression of his love. Jesus was God himself in flesh (John 1:1).

Friends, let's do same... Am so excited of how amazing outreaches are done all over the world and this is what this season is all about.

Foodstuffs might be too expensive but paying for a friends meal isn't.

Buying a car may be too expensive but paying for someone’s isn't.

Give out clothes

Share the season with a friend, neighbour, a stranger.

Corporate Worship: Part 2

I wrote on corporate worship some time back and dealt with how we should worship God in spirit and in truth and how it is an instruction.

This time i will be dealing with two (2) other truth we should know about worshipping God so we can be blessed in our worship.

Meditating still on the story I referenced to which I presume is the main teaching on Jesus about worship and it was to a woman by the well side. More revelations on what worship is,came to light.
John 4:23b says "... the father seeketh such to worship him". This brings us to the 1st truth I will be talking about.

DO IT RIGHT:
I will be direct on this and just give various points that surround this truth.
Its being pointed out, that worship is a lifestyle but for the sake of this series am focused on how  it is been expressed in songs. Hopefully I'll talk about it as a whole some other time.

When you worship God give your best...
Worship with undivided attention
Make an effort to give the best of your voice,  your sound and everything you need to  use in worship.
Christians always over look details when it has to do with worship and we end up giving half baked of everything.
God showed it to us with Cain and Abel. David showed us, when the arc was returned to Israel, God is always detailed with the musical instruments they played at the various times he instructed them to.

Give quality music to God. Not just because you want make money out of it or because you are just trying to get through a scheduled worship session for the days program.
Every time you are in the place of worship,give the best from your heart,voice and instrument. For the Father desires such to worship him.

Do it right as the worship leader
Do it right as the pastor
Do it right in the congregation
Do it right in your bedroom
Do it right in the bathroom
Do it right in your devotions
Do it right
Do it right always

The second truth I will be dealing with is...

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING:
Don't worship because everyone else is, worship because you understand what's going on.
Worship is a spiritual exercise (Phil. 3:3).
Its more than what the flesh can do.  For God is spirit and you can only worship him at his frequency (I explained details in this in the part 1 of this series).

Also you should know that worship is a way we relate with God,  one of the strong factors that develops our intimate relationship with God.  I will simply say "worship is deep".

Worship is a life style. Its an expression based on the understanding you have of how magnificent God is.  In other words your worship can only be as deep as how much you know God and He's awesomeness.

Count your blessings and all the wonderful things God has done for you.
When ever this is said we always try to think of the physical things we can remember that God has done for us but that's not all we mean.
There's 10 times more things that God has done for us than we know.,  its all in the bible.
The Glory
The Riches
The Authority
The Power

When you have all this knowledge, i bet you, your worship will be rich,  because you will literally feel God's love for you when ever you think of what he has done.

So this is the little I will say on this truth...  There's just so much and i hope you will continue in this so as to be blessed in you worship.

Take a Break

Countless times I remember how I and my friends talk about the luxury we would experience, we could finally rest, when we achieve a certain goal, make our first million, get our dream job, be the person we want to be. We do this for hours sometimes, just dreaming and fantasying about the future.

In chasing your dreams you could be so engross. I honestly can say that am one of those who is ready to take up any challenge and make sure nothing dedicated to me or that I have put my mind to fails. I want to achieve all my goals (like everyone else want to). I put in the right energy, take lectures, Google to be updated, seek counsel, read materials and all that’s needed to make it work. Its demanding and time consuming.

Don’t lose your life to your dream, it is yours, you own it, don’t let it own you.

STOP!!! For a moment. Breathe, Smile, Eat, sleep, Call a friend, Laugh, listen to music, Do something different.

I remember an exam I was preparing for and I and my colleagues spend a whole lot of time preparing, reading, burn the night lamps. I noticed that as the day goes by our energy dropped, fatigue, we assimilate lesser and lesser, struggle to keep our eyes on our books. So I decided we go see a movie. We actually ended up watching a cartoon (Zambezia), it was a fun outing. Later that night when we came to read, we were all energized that we study through that night and many others with ease.

Am not trying to preach laziness or to be distracted but a little relaxation can be the energy booster you need for the next step, it might just be the right thing to do to make the right decision on that matter.

Take a break, let it be in your schedule when you plan your day. Go for your lunch break. Call your spouse. Take a break.

I Wanted to Kill Myself

I wanted killing myself. I knew that drinking acid was a straight ticket to death. No one will really care if I die. I have being alone all my life. People just hang around me for what they stand to gain and when they get it they move on. Less respect they treated me with. I felt hatred at my relatives.

Remember countless night without food, bed or shelter. Money was a never dream, love was abstract, success an impossibilities. Am drench in lack and sorrows, many night alone at my corner, to my weirdest thoughts…

Now I just want all the agony to end, the pains should go away, the sleepless nights, the fear, the tears. Nothing just works right. Deep down I want to forgive all my offenders but the more I thing of what they have done the more the hatred boils up inside like a volcano about to erupt.

Standing there with the bottle of acid on my hands, my heart race with so much fear of what really is the afterlife would be…

You could relate with this at some level

Scary

Everyone needs something the HOPE on. It’s what keep the soul going. Hope for a better life, a greater future, food clothe, extra cash to spend on stuff like school fees, hospital bills, utility bills, the necessity just piles up. How miserable life is without HOPE.

HOPE is positivity about future, I like the acronym “Have Only Positive Expectation”, it’s believing. But life has shown us again and again that HOPE on anything on earth fails. Try to take a sincere mind tour, nothing or no one can be true and totally assuring, even the insurance companies.

BUT

I have got I AM who is. God is. In Christ, He has given us everything we need and my HOPE on him is so securing. People wonder why I believe so much on someone I have not seen, it’s simply because they have not believed yet. You can’t tell the taste of an ice-cream if you don’t taste it. Only when you truly on your own and from your heart open up to God and want to experience HIM that you will.

Sickness, poverty, pain, loneliness, confused, bitter, angry, just name it, and He takes care of it all. In His words he will transforms you and gives you joy unspeakable, love unconditional and happiness unending. Yes, you can be happy.

To so many believers like me, please let’s not get tired of telling the world about this HOPE that we have. There’s no vacation in giving HOPE because every single time we relax and want to take a break there is someone loosing HOPE because we are not just saying the right word, giving smiles and laughter, blessing someone with money and kindness, let them feel the real deal about God. Let Heaven be felt here on earth, through you. Don’t be tired in well doing.

A citizen of Zion, Royalty as priest, Holy and Pure, Unique and outstanding (1 Pet. 2:9), you have the DNA of Zoe.

The church does not try to make you righteous, 
It MADE you Righteous (1 Cor. 5:21)
It MADE you Healed (1 Pet. 2:24)
It MADE you Free (Gal. 5:1)
It MADE you Victorious (Rom. 8:37)
It MADE you Prosperous (Matt. 6:33)
It MADE you Smart (2 Tim. 1:7)

The church loves you even in your mess
The church provides your every needs
The church strengthens you
The church guides you

Oh! What a beautiful place to be, its an expression of heaven right here on earth. A place of peace, joy and laughter in the mist of a trouble world. It is upward and forward only.

We invite you to join this church by accepting JESUS as Lord of your life. If you wanna do say this out loud:

"Lord Jesus, i believe you are the son of God, i believe you came to earth, died and resurrected on the third day. Be my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank you Lord. I am saved"
